The Beginning and The End: Jesse Tree Family Devotional Day 25

For Little Ones: This is the day we go back through all the names of Yeshua as we put them back in the box for next year. If you’re not quite ready to put the ornaments away, you can delay this one and read the Christmas story instead. When you are ready to put them away, do this last devotional together to wrap up the season, taking time to reflect as a family and solidify the big story as a whole. This might take some time, so heat up some hot cocoa or apple cider and make an evening of it.

Merry Christmas! What a sweet and special journey we have been taking together through the names of Yeshua Messiah. He was there at the beginning and He is here with us now. He will reign forever. As we find each ornament and put it back in the box, say the name of Yeshua and what it means to you!

Yeshua is…

  1. The Light of the World (Sun)…
  2. The Second Adam (Adam and Eve)
  3. The Serpent Crusher (Two trees ornament)
  4. The Door of Salvation (Ark)
  5. The Seed of Abraham (Stars)
  6. The Son and the Sacrifice (Ram)
  7. The Persistent One who Prevails (Jacob’s Ladder)
  8. The Forgiving One (Joseph’s Coat of Many Colors)
  9. The Deliverer (Moses in the basket)
  10. The Passover Lamb of God (Passover Door)
  11. The Waymaker (Red Seas parting)
  12. The Covenant Keeper (10 Commandments)
  13. The Lamp (Menorah in Temple)
  14. The Kinsman Redeemer (Ruth’s Wheat)
  15. The Warrior King (Crown)
  16. The Son of David (Sling and Harp)
  17. Root and Shoot of Jesse (Stump and shoot)
  18. Our High Priest (Ark of the Covenant/Temple Veil)
  19. Lamb on the Throne (Throne and Scrolls)
  20. Desire of All Nations (Three Wise Men)
  21. The Son of God (Angel)
  22. The Word Made Flesh (“Word” Bible)
  23. The Good Shepherd (Shepherds in the Field)
  24. God With Us, Immanuel (Baby Jesus in the Manger)
  25. Beginning and the End!

Questions to Talk About or Journal:

What is something God has taught you about Himself through our devotions this year?

Which of these names stood out to you in a special way?

How will you honor Yeshua this next year?

How could we honor Him as a family?

A Thank You Note from Beloved:

Thank you for inviting us to join you in the Christmas season. It is a great honor! We love thinking and talking about the good news of God and how He loves the world. And we love connecting it to beautiful, meaningful reminders like decorations, songs, mugs, paintings, cards. Yeshua said that He would send His Holy Spirit to teach us and to remind us what He said. We believe that the Lord is speaking to us today, both through Scripture and through His Spirit in our hearts and minds. Our goal in this study is to provide a group environment for daily discussions. Maybe it is parents and children, or a group of friends, or a Bible Study group, or an online community. Feel free to access any of our other resources through the year!
