I’ve been feeling so unsettled in my heart
Like you’ve plowed the ground and broken it all apart
But that’s alright ‘cause
Everything that’s in me needs to see the light
And you are light
So I will just lay down and let you work in me.
If I’m honest
I can feel so hurt and I get so confused
But if broken soil makes room for seed of truth
Then that’s alright
So like the clay I am I lay down
Stop trying so hard
Make me soft again til I’m just soil.
Plant your truth in me
Place your word of peace in my heart
And let the roots, let them grow down deep
Penetrate me
Living water flow so free
In and out of me
It’s you who plants the seed
And grows your fruit in me

Father,
Can’t you see I’m a child who just wants to be held
And all this searching for love just gets me farther
away from the well
So Spirit flow again and fill these barren spaces
Wash over in and out through me

Penetrate me
Living water flow so free
In and out of me
It’s you who plants the seed
And grows your fruit in me
Yeah. It’s only you in me.
And I don’t know what you’re doing but I wish you’d go ahead and do it
Whatever you’re trying to teach me you can take me through it
But I am waiting
and I won’t rush you
I yield to you
And I know you’re growing things in me that I just can’t see

Rise up in me.
