Friend of the Bridegroom, Isaiah 62 Fast, The Father's Heart, Watchmen on the Wall

Come, Yeshua: 21 Days of Intercession for Israel (Day 13 of Isaiah 62 Fast)

In the last days, we will see the Bride of Israel awake. And we believe when she does, she will have this desire to be reunited to her betrothed, the Messiah. This cry of “Come, Lord Jesus (Bo, Yeshua)” will minister to the Lord’s heart in a special way. Only the Father knows the day and hour of the return, but in Revelation 22:17 we see modeled this antiphonal calling back and forth “COME!” between the “Spirit and the Bride (the )” and the “One who hears (God).” Today, we are letting the cry of our hearts be “COME, YESHUA!”

In the book of Romans, Paul is convinced that all of Israel will be saved. We will not spend time here debating exactly what that means, but rather in locking into what God seems to be doing now that is moving in that direction and working in agreement with His heart to see the Jewish people return (repent) and move into a state of Bridal Preparation. Most Jewish people do not realize the need to return. They do not see the need for a sacrifice for their sins. Those that still believe in God believe God will save the righteous and damn the wicked based on their own works. Believers in Yeshua know that the grace of the cross allows us complete forgiveness of sins and the restoration of relationship with God as Abba Father, but even among them, many do not know that they are the long lost Bride. The work among genuine Messianic believers that we have seen here is very tender. The Lord is awaking the Jewish people by the Holy Spirit to their Messiah through healings, dreams, personal interactions with Spirit-led, bold believers, and they are being drawn to Him not through debates and arguments but experiencing His presence and power. It’s not so much an intellectual movement, but an encountering, experiential movement (although I am sure God is moving in more apologetic circles too).

Many would say that the work believers do here is not a conversion of Jews to Christianity but an awakening of the Jewish people to their own Messiah. The Jewish people are unique in world in the fact that they do not need to convert from a false religion (unless they have also been in witchcraft or idolatry), but need true and good teaching in the completion of their own faith. The work for this harvest field then is three-fold. 1) We are empowered by His Spirit to follow Yeshua and His teachings, in other words, we ARE actual disciples believing and doing what He said; 2) We help disciple new followers of Yeshua join us into 3) becoming true disciples and disciplers themselves. Part of this is an awakening to a bridal love for Messiah. It is a heart that begs for the bridegroom to return.

I want to share a dream I had a few years ago. You can see the original post here:

September 22, 2020

In a dream last night I saw a man breaking something that looked like a sheet of dark, hard rock, or metal. I asked God what he was breaking. “The church,” He said with a really serious voice. I asked Him what this meant and God said, “he is breaking the false power and methods of the institutionalized church and waking up and preparing my bride.”

Sitting outside today, the Spirit also said that this ministry of preparing and waking the bride is also time-sensitive. “A little while longer the leaves stay on the trees and then they fall.” Discern the times (Matthew 16:33, Matthew 24:32-33). Soon our actions will be visible and open to attack like when the ground is exposed as the leaves fall. We won’t be able to work as freely without persecution. We have to work quickly over the next few months while it’s still possible (in prophetic language months can be actual months or years). I am the vine and you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him will bear much fruit. Without me you can do nothing (John 15:5). Wake the Bride. Disciple everyone (Matthew 28:19-20)

Then I got very sleepy and went to take a nap. As I slept,

I dreamed and saw a bed with gossamer curtains around it. I was standing with Jesus dressed in golden king’s robes. He pulled the curtains aside. I saw a sleeping woman on the bed. She was His bride. He looked at her and said with eyes still fixed on her, “See, my bride sleeps.” (Isaiah 56:10; Matthew 25:5; Revelation 3:1-3) I asked Him if she was His bride, then who was I (I asked Him this because I have always seen myself as part of the bride). He said I was His friend (John 3:29-30).

Then, I saw Jesus go in and kiss the woman on the lips. He woke her with a kiss.

The interpretation of this is that 1), it is time for the church, especially the Jewish people, to awaken (Romans 13:11; and Ephesians 5:14 quoting Isaiah 52:1), the way she will be awakened is through intimacy with Jesus, knowing Him experientially (Song of Solomon 1:2) Philippians 3:10:11, Ephesians 3:14-19, Hebrews 8:11 quoting Jeremiah 31:34) by the seal/kiss of the Holy Spirit. (Song of Solomon 2:10, 8:6; Isaiah 50:4). The veil is the law and the curtain of the Holy of Holies, which Yeshua has come through already making a way. It is easy to lift, easy to go through now. It is also the veil between the natural world and spiritual world. He moves easily between them and so will we.

Then I can’t see Jesus anymore. He’s gone.

The woman tried to get up but the covers had become hard and heavy, like iron. Pressing down on her every time she tried to wake up (Isaiah 58:6). A voice explained to me that this weighted blanket was what was being broken earlier in my previous dream. The corrupt church powers and other false authorities will be broken through the true prophets of God who speak what He is saying to the church and to Israel (Isaiah 58-59). These words of correction will come from the word of the prophets both now and the discerning of the “fullness of time” that the writers of the New Testament wrote about from the Biblical prophets (Mark 1:15, Galatians 4:4, Hebrews 9:26, Revelation 3).

We will need to be comfortable again with the corrective word of the prophets and must be comfortable testing them, not out of suspicion, but in order to protect, encourage, and build up the church (2 Peter 1:19-21). We will gently correct and, if needed, rebuke the false or immoral prophets, removing them from fellowship if needed for the good of the rest of the flock. BUT WE MUST NOT RESIST THE HOLY SPIRIT OR FORBID TONGUES AND PROPHECY (Psalm 106:33, Acts 7:51, Zechariah 7:12, 1 Corinthians 2:14). Some will. They will be deceived and perish in the fire (Revelation 21:8). But we are not of those who shrink back (Hebrews 10:39).

When the woman finally breaks free she is wildly excited, looking for her groom. She runs to every window in the room and everything she sees she says,

“Is that Him?!” “Is that Him?!”

“No,” I tell her. “You will know Him when you see Him.”

“No,” I tell her. “You will know Him when you see Him.”

The interpretation of this is that the Bride will be susceptible to false winds of doctrine when she wakes up (Matthew 24, 2 Peter 2). Gentle correction and reliance on the Holy Spirit will be the key to her safety and purity. There is a naivety to her because she does not know what her groom looks like. She doesn’t know Him yet (Matthew 24:26-27).

Do not be offended at being called a “Friend to the Bridegroom” ask Him to show you your position of importance in the end times. The whole church is the bride. And the whole church is a friend of the bridegroom. And this is all a mystery. But there is a special role for believers to play in the return of the Jewish Bride (whether you are Jewish or Gentile or both). The job as a friend of the groom-to-be is to teach the newly awakened bride how she can know the groom through intimacy with the Holy Spirit (John 14-17, Ezekiel 36:26-27, 1 Corinthians 2:13, 1 John 2:27), who reminds us what Jesus said, leads us into all truth (which aligns with scripture), and tells us what is to come. Teach her to hear His voice (John 10:27-30) and rightly divide the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). The leadership of the Spirit will be made possible through training of the bride to understand scripture and use it as a sword (Ephesians 6:17) to separate truth from lie, pierce the hearts of people, surgically heal the spiritually wounded, identify false teaching, and fight the enemy. The leadership of the Spirit will also enable and correct corporate worship, through gifts given to the body of Christ through the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:5, 1 Corinthians 3, 1 Corinthians 12), and the Word of God. Preparing the bride will be done by those who know the groom. It will be a quiet but powerful ministry, hidden and underground—amid extreme persecution (1 Peter 4, 2 Timothy 3:12). This particular ministry to the church will not happen in stadiums or conferences. Not this particular ministry. It’s a quiet, Spirit-led ministry of building a temple of God with living stones (Zechariah 4:6) hearts opening and washing of the bride through the water of the Word—baptism in water and fire (Matthew 3:11, Acts 2)—it is purification. It is the genuine, love-driven, righteous acts adorning the bride (Revelation 19).

Let’s Pray

As we listen to this song, we pray over Israel as a friend of the Bridegroom, whether we are Jewish or Gentile….we are all working together in prayer for the return and preparation of the Jewish people. Lord, help us to minister to Your heart and actually feel Your longing over Your first love, Israel. However You choose to move in the end times, we believe and will move toward this desire of Your heart…You are not leaving Israel behind. They will return.

Lord, we ask for an awakening of the Bride, we ask for you to come, Lord Jesus. Bo Yeshua. Yes, Lord. We are yours. Forever, we are yours. Now we stand in intercession before your throne as friends of the bridegroom. We long for your Jewish bride to sing this song of love to you from her lips. Make yourself known.

May you hear it rise from your people, “Yes Lord, I am Yours.” Soften hearts. Appear to them in dreams and visions, in the hands of your people serving the new immigrants, in the love of your pastors and shepherds in this land. Show your heart to them. Wake them with a kiss of your love and mercy. Wake them with an encounter through worship times, artists and musicians, new songs, people meeting them in the streets, praying for them, ministering to their hearts from YOUR HEART of love for them. Not with a goal to convert but a goal to love and help them understand who they are–the Bride of God, not forgotten, not left behind, but completely pursued, forgiven, and longed for. We say in response, “BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.”

Preparation your bride for the persecution she will endure. Make her strong in her love for you. Strengthen her understanding of who you are and what you want. Strengthen her in the true teaching of Yeshua. Help her to take you on as her ONLY Rabbi. Let all other teaching voices in her life be good shepherds who shepherd under Yeshua, the chief shepherd. We lift YOU high Yeshua. We honor you Lord. You alone are our worthy of our devotion and attentions. You said in your Kingdom, “they will all be taught by God.” We know that we have access to your teaching by the Holy Spirit, directing us, explaining things to us, enlivening your Word, giving dreams, prophecies. (Jeremiah 31:33-34, John 6:45, Hebrews 8:10-11). We ask you to draw her according to your heart to “Come Away” with you.

We thank you that you have prepared good works for her. Help us, as friends of the bridegroom, teach her how to adorn herself for you. We know what you like. We know what is beautiful to you. Help us teach without condescension. Help us encourage her without adding weight to your yoke. We ask for the shepherds to have wisdom shepherding, not too heavy-handed, not neglecting, not drunk or high on anything but the Holy Spirit. We ask for a joyful sobriety for your shepherds. We ask you to bless the congregations. Bless the Messianic schools; bless the Seminaries and Training Centers. May they be FULL OF YOUR SPIRIT. Bring unity to divisions and reconciliation to disagreements.

We ask you to protect the Bride from deception. Now and at the end times. To not lead her into temptation but deliver her from evil. Send teachers and equip them with YOUR strategy. Help them to come as learners first, so they do no harm. Lord, we ask for the new songs to be written that teach and reinforce scripture. We ask that you would protect the Harvest Fields and the New Harvest that is white and ripe right now. As they are brought in to your house, Lord, we ask for supernatural protection for them. Let them hear no voices of demons, no accusations from their past, let them just experience the safety of a child sleeping in a room, knowing her parents are there to protect her. You are our shield. We rest in your protection. Put a shield over their hearts and minds to dwell only on the good and lovely things, not to ruminate on the past. Teach them the power of your blood. All our sins and shortcomings are under the blood of the Lamb. Pour out your mercy and grace, undeserved, unreserved love. We honor you and love you.

Lord, for the workers here. For the friends of the bridegroom. We ask you to Come Quickly. Show us how to be involved and when to give space.

We pray for the true peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you…”I will now say, “Peace be within you.” Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good. (Ps. 122:6-9) We “Rejoice with Jerusalem…all you who love her; rejoice…with her, all you who mourn for her…that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.” (Isa. 66:10-11) I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD…the great goodness toward the house of Israel…15Look down…see from Your habitation, holy and glorious. Where are [the manifestations] Your zeal and Your strength, the yearning of Your heart and Your mercies…are they restrained? 16You, O LORD, are our Father; our Redeemer…64:1Oh, that You would rend the heavens…[and] come down that the mountains might shake at Your presence…2make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!… (Isa. 63:7-64:2)
